Perfect spot for a quiet getaway

The fire pit really stole the show, we relaxed with a glass of wine while taking in the fine mountain views, it was a perfect setting. I can’t forget about the breakfast at Nipper's Cafe. Those Belgian waffles were the kind of thing you wouldn’t expect but left me craving more.

Rooms are clean with comfortable beds, and I appreciated the private bathroom which had a nice shower. There’s a great cafe on site serving well-cooked meals like NY steak with fresh veggies. The outdoor space is relaxing, especially the fire pit area for evening gatherings. Location is super convenient, just minutes to downtown attractions.

I absolutely loved the cozy and welcoming atmosphere at The Stamford Motel. The beautifully landscaped flower gardens and stunning views of Mt. Equinox made my stay enchanting. The room was clean and comfortable, making it easy for a senior like me to relax.

More seating areas for relaxation would be helpful.

I booked a Standard King Room for three nights. The large shower impressed me. it felt modern and spacious. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The fire pit area was a cozy spot in the evenings, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. Nipper's Cafe on site offered delicious food, especially the "Karen" salad with goat cheese. The owners were very approachable and helpful throughout my stay. However, some amenities felt dated, like the TV, which could use an upgrade. The bathroom was a bit cramped, making it tricky to maneuver at times. Not all facilities were thoroughly cleaned, requiring a bit more attention.

The room was immaculate and lightly decorated, featuring new wood shutters and a spacious tile shower. Enjoying the view of the scenic beauty outside the door and the lovely perennial garden was a highlight. On-site dining caught my eye, with organic jams often recommended, and the grounds included a cozy fire pit and lighting that added to the ambiance. A bit more attention could be given to the check-in process for a smoother arrival experience.

We had a fantastic group trip! The location was perfect for hitting the local hiking trails and checking out the nearby shops. Rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. Don’t miss out on Nipper's Cafe for good food at fantastic prices!

The only downside was that parking was a bit limited during our stay due to busy weekend crowds.

i had a wonderful stay with my family, enjoying the comfortable pillow top mattress and the delicious breakfast at the attached restaurant while being just a few steps from dana l. thompson memorial park, which was perfect for our city strolls.
